One of the highlights of the East Coast Holiday will be the guided tour to The Simeone Foundation Museum, Philadelphia, PA on Thursday, October 18th! Tour Chairs Ed and Darlene Tobolski have also put together a number of great self-guided tours to attractions and destinations in the local area – Cape May and Atlantic City among others.

Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum Tour: This guided tour will leave the Flanders Parking Lot at 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 18th and will visit Dr. Frederick Simeone’s private collection of sports cars in southeast Philadelphia. The Simeone is one of the world’s greatest collections of racing sports cars and is arranged chronologically to document their history. Through our theme, “The Spirit of Competition”, it celebrates the history and evolution of these magnificent machines. Assembled over the past 50 years by Dr. Frederick Simeone, the Museum contains over 65 historically significant cars including Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Mercedes, Jaguar, Bentley, Porsche, Aston Martin, Corvette, Ford and more. All of the cars in the museum are road-worthy. Fortunately for us, Dr. Simeone has tentatively agreed to roll out his 917 for some demonstration runs in the expansive parking lots surrounding his facility. A catered lunch will be provided. The tour will return before the onset of Philadelphia’s rush hour, and in time for the Members Meeting. Sign up early for this one. It will sell out quickly.
