Cliff Murray, Cycle Max
Longtime Registry Member Cliff Murray had his first ride in a 356 way back in 1959 in his father’s new tub. He’s been in the automobile repair business a long time and can be considered an old school mechanic. He worked 3 years as a mechanic on import cars and ten years for Dana Corporation selling engine parts. He owned two auto parts stores for 12 years, and for the past 20 years has owned and operated a six franchise motorcycle/ATV dealership. He’s rebuilt a variety of engines and transmissions, having done 356, 911, Austin Healey, Lotus, MGB, VW, Datsun, Daimler and Land Rover engines as well as Norton, Velocette, BSA, Honda, Yamaha bike engines.
He’s a dedicated racer on both two and four wheels and counts ten years road racing vintage motorcycles; five road racing a modern Corvette in the SCCA nationals; and seven years road racing his 1955 Porsche “Cabster” with SVRA/HSR.
